During my training and many years of employment at a Swiss universal bank, I learned the banking business from scratch. Assignments in departments such as Cash & Private Clients, Private Banking and eVV Desk gave me the opportunity to get to know the areas from the respective optics.

After 9 years of working for the eVV Desk, the step to “change fronts” was obvious. Glad to have taken this step, flexibility and freedom in organising the working day are already among the highly valued assets.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Travelling, books, music and films also provide a relaxing balance to the working day.

Since December 2022, I have been assisting one of the senior partners in handling his day-to-day business.

During my education and many years of working for a Swiss universal bank, I learned the banking business from scratch. I had the opportunity to continue working as a part-time employee after my maternity leave.

Working for an external asset manager has always interested me. I am very happy to have been given a new challenge at Invest-Partners Wealth Management AG and look forward to some exciting moments!

I grew up in Wald in the Zurich Oberland and now live between Niederteufen (AR), Aadorf (TG) and Zurich.

I graduated in business administration/commerce from the HSG in St. Gallen and have since worked within the banking/finance industry in line management or consulting, working for various international and national consulting firms and as an intern at the former SKA (now Credit Suisse) and for 10 years as a member of the executive board (COO) at AIG Private Bank (now Falcon Private Bank).Today, together with 3 other partners, I have my own small consulting firm, 4executives ag, in Oerlikon.

We are active in the financial services sector and, in addition to our diverse project work, we are currently involved in digitalisation and the numerous new FinTech offerings, both of which will have a relevant influence on the future of the entire industry.

Since the founding of Invest-Partners, I have acted as a sparring partner and advisor to Thomas Stricker and the company, particularly in the area of regulatory requirements and strategic orientation.

I was born in 1960, grew up in Solothurn and have been living since 1982 in Meilen on Lake Zurich.

After completing my bank apprenticeship I discovered a passion for the securities business at a small bank in Zurich. While working as a broker at the Zurich Stock Exchange in 1987 I got my first experience of a large stock market crash. This experience has stood me in good stead and taught me not to panic when markets are difficult.

I later transferred to the Private Banking department at one of the major Swiss banks.

Since 1998 I have looked after my own clients at various independent asset manager firms. In view of the ever-changing regulatory environment and the increasing demands made of our industry, I decided to join a firm with a good reputation and one which is well-positioned for the future. That spoke for Invest-Partners Wealth Management.

An experienced team deals with all the administrative and regulatory tasks, leaving me to focus on the needs and demands of my clients. Until becoming an independent Senior Partner with Invest-Partners Wealth Management Ltd, I spent 15 years as advisor to wealthy Swiss clients at a universal bank both in Zurich and on the right-hand shore of Lake Zurich in Küsnacht. Previously I had worked in Zurich for a Japanese bank and one of the large Swiss financial institutions in their securities and investment department.

I am convinced that the most important factor in the relationship between client and advisor is trust. The client must be certain that the advisor makes all decisions to the best of his knowledge and always acts in the interest of the client. He can only achieve this if he adheres unconditionally to the chosen parameters as regards investment strategy, restrictions etc. The client must be convinced that the advisor will look after his assets as if they were his own.

My aim is for a relationship between partners based on trust, in which one party accompanies the other through good times and bad. After 20 years of professional experience as an investment advisor at a universal bank, I joined Invest-Partners in February 2020.

Investing money is a topic with many uncertainties, especially in the current environment. How long will interest rates remain this low? When will the next financial crisis come? The honest answer: we don’t know.

Despite all the risks, I am convinced that a long-term investment promises sustainable returns.

Years of extremes on the financial markets have shaped my investment philosophy and taught me humility.

I maintain a conservative investment style, implemented with traditional investment instruments. For me, achieving regular returns and focusing on the Swiss franc are central cornerstones of a solid investment concept.

In order to implement such a concept successfully, a relationship of trust between client and advisor is needed, as well as the common will and discipline to achieve the goals set. It is a matter of mastering good and difficult times together.

I have been advising high net worth individuals and institutional investors since 1983. While working for American investment banks, I passed several stock market exams in NYC.

In college, in addition to the obvious focus on portfolio management, I also paid particular attention to money, credit, fiscal policy and sovereign debt. Since that time, I have followed the “Austrian School” way of thinking and apply this knowledge to my daily work in the financial markets.

For over 25 years I have worked in finance. I have built up my extensive knowledge in management positions with respected banks both in and outside Switzerland. My professional skills and competence derive from many years of looking after a discerning, international clientele.

For two years from 1997 to 1999 I built up the Czech Republic-based private client business for a European banking group in Prague. This was an exciting and challenging assignment.

Today I see financial advice as a matter for senior management, not for junior staff!

After a spell as trainee banker with a quoted bank I worked in various departments at a number of well-known institutions. But securities trading had always fascinated me and so I took up a position as head of brokerage before changing to the investment divison.

I have thus built up many years of experience in private banking.

My last post was as head of wealth management at a firm of lawyers.

Now at Invest-Partners I am looking forward to offering my clients my experience coupled with complete impartiality as regards investment choice.

I am a father of two adult daughters and already a grandfather. I like to spend my leisure time outdoors, especially cycling, walking and in the winter months skiing. Friends know they can always call on me for an animated discussion or a game of cards or chess.
